Very personable service and fantastic food! Sometimes special dishes that you won't find otherwise and everything is very, very tasty. The waiting time for food can be long and you shouldn't expect a modern or totally cozy atmosphere. But the quality of the food is worth it!
Super nice boss in the service Delicious Price performance top!
Staff was super nice and the food was really delicious! Unfortunately we had a bit of bad luck with the waiting time
Want to go there. There are only 2 Burmese restaurants in Europe. One in Switzerland and one in Cologne
Top store. Try the ginger salad ...
NEVER AGAIN !!! We ate and ordered new drinks all the time, suddenly out of nowhere the bill is simply brought to us and our drinks were cleared away.
Super delicious food, very nice service and great prices for the good quality of the products used. We'd love to come back!
Always tasty! You will also be satisfied. Best with the Mai Thai as an apperitive
We are regular at Mandalay and LOVE the food! If you like it spicy, I definitely recommend the curry soup! This shouldn't be missing in any order. I always vary the main dishes because there are so many delicious things to choose from. It is also served in such a way that you can also try the other dishes, since they are placed in the middle and everyone gets an additional plate. The food is always fresh and tastes heavenly! Despite the somewhat dated furnishings, Mandalay gets 5 * from me because I have never been disappointed!
A restaurant that I have been looking for for 100 years. Parking is a problem.
Very delicious food, nice atmosphere and nice service! ကျေးဇူးပဲ!
Great food and very friendly staff
Really nice service and incredibly delicious.
Very nice little restaurant. The owner is very welcoming and talkative. I haven’t been to Myanmar but I do get the feeling it’s very authentic and that he really cares about that fact. Overall a nice down to earth establishment.
Delicious food. If you like to try, you will find dishes that are not everywhere. For example. Tea salad or shrimp with water spinach, which tasted very good. Those who prefer to stay with the classics, such as chicken with peanut sauce, will also get their money's worth. Service very friendly.
We were in a group there and the mains were rated by all as very good. The food was freshly cooked and well cooked. Both meat and vegetarian dishes are recommended. The dessert of the house is a block of ice cream wrapped in a crepe, it was just way too much and not a successful compilation. The other baked desserts are good. You get very large portions at fair prices, so overall good value for money. However, we had to wait approximately one hour per course for the food. Unfortunately, during the long wait was not asked for drinks requests, so that you long hungry and waiting on dry land. Otherwise, the service was friendly. The ambiance is rather cool, outdated and uncomfortable. When it comes to cleanliness, there is room for improvement. With only a few tables, the restaurant is fast, you should book. Card payment is possible. Conclusion: A recommendation for the food, a cozy evening but you should spend elsewhere.
We were not thrilled. The decor is a bit old-fashioned. The old white wallpaper could be painted. The thick cobwebs and stamens in the corners should be removed. I did not feel well. We had to wait a long time for our food although the restaurant was only 20% occupied. There was only one waiter and he often disappeared in the back of the kitchen. Reorder drinks was not in it. At best, I would call the food solid. The duck and the fish were already quite dry. Unfortunately, I can only advise against the restaurant.
Very good restaurant. All dishes are lovely! The service is wonderful. You can either enjoy a good fish or a good vegetarian meal. The terrace is small but nice. Always my pleasure.
The food was pretty good. The service was wonderful too. We didn't realize that they close at 11.30 and were enjoying our conversation till well past 12.20 and the Manager said not a single word to us. Burmese Food is a mix of Thai, Indian and Chinese and it was really good. Price was a bit higher.
Tasty meal, interesting flavors, calming atmosphere. A very pleasant place for dinner, and a cuisine that’s not very easy to find in this part of the world.
nice atmosphere, great food, friendly staff
Good place and tasty food.. ?
A very nice restaurant a bit off the beaten path. The prices are really good for the huge portions, the food tastes almost like in Asia - especially the peanut sauce was a dream! The server was very friendly and accommodating. We would go back anytime and can only recommend it.
This is a family restaurant, nice people and the food is authentic from Burma. I visit this restaurant regularly with my family and I highly recommend it
Very nice small Burmese restaurant. The food is very good and the personnel very friendly
I was in Myanmar recently and wanted to eat my favorite traditional burmese dish in Germany: *tea leave salad*. Here I have found it and it was great! Also the other dishes were nice and authentic. The service was also friendly and made us feeling comfortable and welcome. Definitely worth to go there
Restaurant does not look like much, but the food was excellent. Important tip for the first visit: We were there in twos and got the two entrees served in the middle of the table on a hotplate. We each got an empty plate and then took us from the courts. With the knowledge, you can order two different dishes together and share them without having to move anything from one plate to another. That's really great.
Very tasty and sometimes exceptional food, very different from the Chinese. Finally the taste with new tastes extended. The decor leaves much to be desired, therefore 4 stars. Overall, highly recommended! ? ?
Ok, food was fine... Not really that tasty, or spicy. Service was good. Restaurant was Köln standard...
tasty asian cuisine but little atmosphere
Children are apparently not welcome here.
the best restaurant
We visited the restaurant with a group of 8 P. I guess most of us would be all ok with the restaurant but I guess, I had had expected too much. The restaurant was crowded and all the tables were occupied which shows people like it to be here. I came in pretty early that evening and noticed how dirty the Salt n Peper Muffineer were. The room was way too cold and you could hear the engine (whatever it was) from the kitchen. I ordered the Tee Leaves Salat (fermented tea leaves I perhaps)and it tasted miserable. For the main course I ordered the Burmanese Duck which turned to be pretty near to Duck in Soy Sauce - very chinese like. At end I was prerry sure they got my order wrong. Overall the price is acceptable... but only if the taste is acceptable as well which I couldnt claim afterall. I would probably return someday for a second chance. But not in the near future.
It was ok but not memorable. Food could have more flavor
Friendly staff, very good ginger salad and Mandalay style fish dish.
